The picture frame stock is cut to the correct lengths,
making sure the 45 degree angles are facing the correct way.

Then pvc glue is applied to each end ready for assembling in the jig.
The frame stock assembled in the jig, corners are checked for 90 degrees accuracy as the center bolt is turned to pull the frame tightly together. Then left for the glue to dry.
Once dry the frame is removed and for extra strength metal wedges are pressed into the wood across the corner join.
The painting is assembled into the frame like a sandwich, glass , then matt, then your painting , last the cardboard backing.
To hold the sandwich in the frame small pins are added while a slight pressure is applied.
