| Would you like up-to-date information and inspiration to keep the fire going in your artistic career? Wouldn't a helpful and insightful letter from a fellow artist keep the paint flowing? Now you can receive a weekly jump-start to your creative success by tuning in to Robert's Column here at WetCanvas! In Behind the Easel with Robert Genn, Robert shares with you, twice weekly, a personal letter to help kick-start your creative efforts.
From the author: "My letters are mainly as a courtesy to friends and associates - answering specific questions, exchanging ideas on creativity, successful systems, motivation and art techniques. They were also follow-ups of information which added to the material in my handbook "The Painter's Keys." Stuff that I had learned since its publication two years ago. I send them for free, with a sense of sharing, but mostly for the fun of it. I start with the proposition that every artist is sovereign and that their integrity is to be preserved and fostered. Professional artists subscribe and exchange ideas and are in turn made aware of new ideas and opportunities. I don't teach really. I spend most of my time painting and travelling but I get a kick out of sharing. I try to give original tips and success methodology that is not commonly available. Each letter is different in content but about the same size (350 words) so it doesn't waste the reader's time. Subjects vary between practical, specific technical input and inspiring systems to promote even more success. I quote from a wide range of artists and thinkers, some of them personal friends in the sisterhood and brotherhood of artists." Without further adieu, enjoy Behind the Easel with Robert Genn! Note: we are working with Robert to publish archives of his past letters. Thanks for your patience!
