Watercolor Painting, My Way: Magnolias: L1

I paint indoors, working from photographs taken with my digital camera and displayed on the computer monitor while I am painting.
Here is a close-up shot of one of the Magnolias growing in my garden.

Several photos were taken. This one displays the mottled bark and greenish fungi coloring on the surface.

Before I forget, here is a line drawing image available for download if you would like to follow along with my painting!
Click on the image to download and save to your hard disk.

The sketch is transferred to watercolor paper using either:
1. Graphite transfer paper

2. Soft lead pencil rubbed on back of sketch.

We are now ready to start our painting - enjoy!
