Watercolor Painting, My Way!: Clouds: L5

Stormy Clouds

We will be working "Wet into Wet" again, so your watercolor paper will need to be stretched.

Reference photo: dark stormy clouds

Materials required are:-
Kitchen paper towel
Blotting paper

Mix up three washes.
Top left : Raw Sienna
Middle left : Cobalt Blue/ touch of Light Red
Bottom left : Payne's grey

First, apply a wash of Raw Sienna over the whole paper.

Using Payne's Grey, start painting in the dark areas of the storm clouds.
