Watercolor Painting, My Way!: Clouds: L2

Author: Rod Webb, Associate Editor

"Lift" the paint by dabbing, turning the tissue frequently as you produce the fluffy clouds.

All of these clouds will have soft edges. With practice you will be able to produce any size and shape required.
While the paint is still wet, you can apply Raw Sienna to the top of the cloud and Payne's grey for shadows at the bottom.
If the paint has started to dry after the tissue stage, leave the paper to dry completely, then re-wet with clear water and apply shadows and highlights.

Let's move on to working wet-in-wet!
