I receive a lot of mail asking for tips on drawing and painting animals! There is something strangely fascinating about animals. Let me try to pass along a few tips that may help you in your quest. Try this big cat on for size!

Profiles are always easiest to draw so let's do him first in that format. As with everything we draw, start by sketching in the basic geometric shapes. |

Finish him off with a no. 3 brush and some India ink or watercolor. |

Now let's do him in not quite full face, but in a little less than 1/4 face. just follow the steps! |
