Hello everyone! It's time for another random entry from Pierre's mailbox:
Don't let those other guys get to you. And tell Gigi to appreciate the sweetie you are! I asked those fellows to give us some tips on painting flowers and they did not do it. You did. Thank you. Grandma As usual, my fans understand who the real driving force is around here. Elliott, Schmelliot! Hagan, Schmagan! Did you hear her, boys? It was Pierre that delivered with the floral lessons (Bunch of Roses, Single Rose). Thanks for the kind words, Grandma! I'll try and whip up some more floral QuikTips soon ... onward! So - what's new for this latest installment of my tremendously popular, fascinating QuikTips?!? Horses! Everyone seems to want to paint those majestic steeds! They aren't really hard to draw but lots of people have a lot of trouble getting them correct. There isn't much to say in this lesson, just follow the progression and I am sure they will work out for you. Good luck! Keep those emails a comin', folks! Pierre (pierre@wetcanvas.com) |

If you are careful and get Figure 1 drawn correctly, then the rest will be easier! |

If you want to draw horses really well - practice the eyes, nose, ears, etc. separately. Draw each several times and in this way you can remember them.
See you next time, where we'll work on a true staple for landscape artists - trees! |
