Here is another one of my enormously popular "QuikTips". You know, I am so much more famous than those other three slackards (Elliott, Vloothuis, and Hagan). I think it's time I got a raise! At any rate, let's paint some grapes, shall we? :-) |

The basic drawing is blocked in with a sepia pencil on gray toned charcoal paper.

A cool green (pale viridian) is put in the area of the lightest part of the grapes and a warm green (yellow green) on the underside or reflected light area.

The local color, or middle green is added, completing the tonal scheme of the grapes, and blended together.

Some droplets of water and the stem are put in and a lighter tone on the background around the grapes help lift them from the background. |
