Make a curved "V" shape about as tall as the top of the hat underneath the hat for the face.

The nose is just above the center of the face where you draw a smile curve that is a little darker on the right side.

Just below the nose you draw a frown curve that is darker and shorter on the right side.

Under the frown shape add a broken smile shape.
